My Father's Murderers

The action series begins when the main character, a young police inspector Aleksandar Jakovljevic, despite its problematic behavior, receives an important case - killed the daughter of a prominent man unit whose company is building the largest residential - commercial complex in the region. The investigation goes in that direction, or even torn Aleksandar their problems, nothing leaves the case and digging into every aspect of life of the murdered girl, unaware of the danger which is exposed because someone cares about is to cover up the killing as quickly as possible.

Legacy (2016-present) is a Serbian crime drama series created by Predrag Antonijević, Nataša Drakulić and Marko Miskovic for Prva and RTS 1. Vuk Kostić plays young police inspector Aleksandar Jakovljević, a officer whose conduct is questionable, who is handed the murder of the daughter of a prominent businessman whose company is building the largest residential and commercial complex in the region. Marko Janketić, Katarina Radivojević and Nina Janković co-star as principal figures around the investigation, while Tihomir Stanić plays the police chief. The engine of the series is simple and relentless: Aleksandar must dig into every corner of the victim's life while someone with real power works to bury the killing as fast as possible, and each episode peels back another layer of private secrets and public loyalties. Running to seven seasons and eighty-one episodes of about fifty minutes, it is a continuing serialized saga rather than a case-of-the-week format, with each season deepening the same investigative web. Set in present-day Serbia, it brings the texture of a post transition Balkan society, its police stations, boardrooms and wealthy enclaves, into focus. The mood is tense, gritty and morally frayed, with a sense of dread as the protagonist's own failings collide with the danger he uncovers. Fans of The Killing, Witnesses and True Detective will find resonance in its patient, character-driven unraveling of a crime that touches the powerful.

• True Detectiveserialized police procedural with a murder case expanding into corporate and political corruption
• The Killingcrime investigation drama with institutional cover-up and moral compromise
• WitnessesEuropean-style police crime series with a grounded tone and layered investigations
