Strong Woman Do Bong Soon

Born with supernatural strength, Bong-soon fights evil and procures justice while getting tangled in a love triangle with her CEO boss and cop crush.

Strong Girl Bong-soon (2017) is a South Korean JTBC romantic comedy-drama series created by Baek Mi-kyoung, a k-drama that blends action and romance. Park Bo-young plays Do Bong-soon, a young woman born with supernatural strength who fights evil and pursues justice on the streets. Her life becomes tangled in a love triangle involving her CEO boss Ahn Min-hyuk, played by Park Hyung-sik, and a cop crush, In Guk-doo, played by Kim Ji-soo. Kim Min-kyo and Shim Hye-jin appear among the supporting cast. The engine of the series is the friction between Bong-soon's brute strength and her desire for an ordinary romance, with each episode mixing slapstick fights against wrongdoers with office rivalry and family tensions. Presented as a single sixteen-episode season, the show is a complete, self-contained story rather than an open-ended run. Its setting is contemporary urban Korea, where wealth and class gaps frame the central romance. The tone is breezy and warm, with comedic set pieces balanced by sincere moments about loyalty and family. Viewers who enjoy My Girlfriend Is an Agent and Hancock will find resonance in its mix of superpowered action and lighthearted romance, and it suits anyone seeking a feel good k-drama to binge.

Critics broadly enjoyed the series as a light, high-energy romantic comedy with strong lead chemistry and a fun superhuman premise.
