My Secret Romance

A partying chaebol has a one-night stand with a beautiful girl. When she joins his company years later, it is difficult to hide their secret romance.

My Secret Romance (2017) is a South Korean romantic comedy drama series created for OCN, a single-season run of thirteen episodes. Sung Hoon plays Cha Jin Wook, a partying chaebol heir whose one-night stand with a beautiful woman, played by Song Ji-eun as Lee Yoo Mi, comes back into his life when she joins his company years later. The engine of the show is the effort to hide a romance that began in secret while both characters navigate a corporate hierarchy, family expectations and the pull of their unfinished attraction. Each episode mixes flirtatious banter, office maneuvering and emotional confessions, with the tension of discovery rising steadily. Kim Jae-young, Kim Si-young and Im Do-yoon round out the principal cast in supporting roles that complicate the central couple's secret. The tone is glossy and romantic, with wistful moments and comic misunderstandings. Fans of Crash Landing on You, Boys Over Flowers and Something in the Rain will find resonance in its polished k-drama style, its wealthy urban world and its slow-building love story.

Audiences rated the series mixed, with a solid season rating and a tender romantic core carrying much of the appeal.
