LEGO Friends: The Power of Friendship

Five best friends face adventures side by side in their hometown. Zany antics, love and missteps are better with friends!

LEGO Friends: The Power of Friendship (2016) is an American computer animated kids series created for Netflix. Five best friends, including Sara Ekander Poulsen, Maja Iven Ulstrup and Katrine Falkenberg in the voice cast, face adventures side by side in their hometown, where zany antics, love and small missteps shape each episode. The engine is simple: the friends want fun and to help one another, and ordinary mishaps turn into comic set pieces. Built in a bright 3D animation style and based on the LEGO toy line, the series runs for a single season of four short episodes of about twenty-two minutes each. It sits in the bright, cheerful register of family animation, with warm friendship at its center and gentle comedy throughout. Fans of Bluey, Dinosaur Train and Peppa Pig will find the same playful, wholesome tone and childlike sense of wonder.

Audience reception is mixed, with a modest but warmly received first season aimed at young children and families.
