Accidentally in Love

Accidentally in Love (2018) is a Chinese romance drama series created by Chen Guang Xi Wei for Tencent Video. Its single season of thirty episodes follows the celebrity Situ Feng (Guo Junchen), who decides to go back to school and suddenly becomes the center of attention for fans, classmates and the media wherever he goes. His path crosses that of Chen Qingqing (Sun Yining), an ordinary student whose dual personality complicates every attempt at a normal friendship. Around them orbit Gu Nanxi (Ma Li), Zhang Fangfang (Zhou Mo), Lin Yiyang (Zhao Yiqin), Lan Xinya (Cheng Muxuan) and Hua Munian (Yan Haoyuan), whose entanglements feed the story's campus life and its entertainment industry pressures. The engine is the push and pull between a star who wants a private, ordinary school experience and a student whose hidden self keeps tangling with his public image. Episodes move through school routines, rivalries and misunderstandings, with the romance building gradually through confusion and teasing. The mood is light, playful and warm, with a bright youthful register rather than heavy stakes. Fans of Meteor Garden, Boys Over Flowers and Hana Yori Dango will find a similar blend of campus romance, idol-level fame and rivalry. The series is a compact, easy-to-follow romantic comedy suited to casual viewing.

Audiences rate the series positively as a light campus-and-celebrity romance with a charming lead pairing.
