YU-NO: A Girl Who Chants Love at the Bound of This World (2019) is a Japanese anime science fiction romance series, a 26-episode adaptation of a visual novel, broadcast on AT-X. Student Arima Takuya, voiced by Yuu Hayashi, begins a summer break that is upended when a package and letter from his historian father, who has vanished, reveal the existence of many parallel worlds. Takuya discovers a device that lets him travel between dimensions, and he must follow the trail of his missing father while navigating the lives of several women across worlds, among them the enigmatic YU-NO, voiced by Ari Ozawa, and Kanna Hatano, voiced by Maaya Uchida. The engine of the show is the search itself: each jump brings new versions of familiar faces, new emotional stakes and new puzzles about where his father is. Episodes are built around these detours, forming a serialized story in which the romantic and mystery threads feed one another. The tone is wistful and melancholic, with a quiet sense of longing and destiny running beneath the sci-fi adventure. Fans of Steins;Gate and Chaos;Head will find resonance in its dimension-hopping structure and emotionally charged romance, while those who enjoy Re:Zero will recognize its appetite for alternate-world longing.

Audience reception is mixed, with viewers rating the single season around 6.8/10 and the story's parallel-world premise and romance elements drawing divided responses.
