The Heart Is Never Wrong

Love story between Aristóteles & Temo, who leave Oaxaca to start a new life together in Mexico City.

The Heart Is Never Wrong (Juntos El Corazón Nunca Se Equivoca) is a Mexican telenovela created by Juan Osorio Ortiz for Las Estrellas. The series follows Aristóteles and Temo, a young couple who leave the small city of Oaxaca to build a shared life in Mexico City. The engine of the story is their attempt to hold on to each other while the city's crowded streets, uncertain jobs, and the disapproval of the families and neighbors around them test their commitment. Each episode moves through everyday romance, misunderstandings, and confrontations, the familiar machinery of the genre applied to a same-sex love story. Its principal cast includes Joaquín Bondoni as Cuauhtémoc López, Laura Vignatti as Daniela Córcega, Emiliano Vázquez as Julio López, and Vadhir Tiscareño as Arquímedes Córcega, whose lives intersect with the central couple. The series runs for a single season of twenty-seven episodes, each about forty-five minutes long, giving it the expansive shape of a classic soap opera. The tone is sincere, sentimental, and warm, with melodramatic stakes played earnestly. Fans of Yo soy Betty, la fea, Pasión de gavilanes, and Rebelde will find the same heartfelt emotional register and romantic urgency here.

Audiences broadly respond warmly to this Mexican telenovela's romance between two young men, rated acclaimed by audience scores.
