The Aam Aadmi Family

This show revolves around a middle-class Sharma family. There's a gossip-loving grandmother, a hardworking father, a sanskaari mom, and two grown up kids who are dealing with their middle-classness in the best way possible.

The Aam Aadmi Family (2016-2023) is a Hindi-language Indian family sitcom created by Apoorv Singh Karki and Arunabh Kumar and produced by The Viral Fever, distributed on TVFPlay and ZEE5. Its warm comedy follows the Sharma household: a gossip-loving grandmother Daadi (Kamlesh Gill), a hardworking father Satyendra Sharma (Brijendra Kala), a sanskaari mother Madhu Sharma (Lubna Salim), and their grown children, with Gunjan Malhotra as Sonu Sharma and Chandan Anand as Bobby Sharma. The engine is small-scale domestic friction: the family keeps trying to project respectability while money, neighbours and generational habits keep tripping them up. Each short episode of roughly seventeen minutes is a self-contained situation comedy built from everyday household dilemmas rather than a continuing plot, and the show runs across four seasons and twenty-five episodes. Set in contemporary middle-class India, it offers observational humour, affectionate teasing and a relatable portrait of ordinary striving. Its tone is breezy, gentle and warmly comic, with pointed but affectionate satire of social pretension. Fans of Everybody Loves Raymond, The Middle and Sarabhai vs Sarabhai will find the same blend of familiar family chaos and cozy humour.
