Tribes of Europa

Tribes of Europa (2021) is a German science fiction action drama series created by Philip Koch for Netflix. Set in 2074, it follows three siblings from the peaceful Origine tribe who are separated amid open war between rival tribes that have risen from the ruins of Europe after a mysterious global disaster. Emilio Sakraya plays Kiano and Henriette Confurius plays Liv, with David Ali Rashed as Elja, each pushed onto a separate path as they struggle to survive and reunite. The engine of the series is survival in hostile territory, with each episode built around skirmishes, shifting alliances, and the dangers of a broken continent. Its six episodes form one continuing arc, with the story left open after a single season. Oliver Masucci and James Faulkner add weight to the political and military side of the conflict. The tone is gritty and propulsive, with bleak landscapes and frequent gunfire giving the drama a harsh, urgent edge. Themes of family loyalty, power, and the cost of tribal division run beneath the action. Viewers who enjoy The 100, Snowpiercer, and Maze Runner will find a similar appetite for dystopian survival and ruined worlds.

Audience reception is mixed, with viewers finding the action-driven post-disaster premise watchable but uneven in its execution.

• The 100post-apocalyptic world rebuilt into rival factions, dystopian survival tone
• Snowpiercerpost-collapse societies at war, serialized dystopian action
