Redo of Healer

In a world of monsters, adventurers and magic, some of the most gifted healers are subjugated to brute force. Keyaru gains the ability to rewind time and turns the tables on those who’ve exploited him in this dark fantasy tale of vengeance and fury.

Redo of Healer (2021) is a Japanese dark fantasy anime series created for AT-X, adapted from a light novel and animated with a graphic, adult-oriented tone. Keyaru, a gifted healer subjugated by adventurers in a world of monsters and magic, gains the ability to rewind time, and he uses that power to turn the tables on those who exploited him. Voice cast includes Yuya Hozumi as Keyaru, Ayano Shibuya as Flare, and Shizuka Ishigami as Setsuna, with Natsuki Aikawa and Minami Tsuda in supporting roles. The engine of the story is a grim cycle of vengeance: each rewind lets Keyaru anticipate betrayals and reshape the lives of the people who wronged him, while the cruelty he endured hangs over every confrontation. The single season of twelve episodes is one continuing arc rather than a case-of-the-week format, with a steady build toward retribution. Set in an invented fantasy realm of guilds, magic, and monster hunts, the series leans into a bleak, visceral register where violence, abuse, and fury are shown without restraint. Fans of Berserk, Re:Zero, and Goblin Slayer will find resonance in its dark fantasy power and revenge-driven momentum.

Audience reception is mixed: viewers find the revenge story compelling in its premise but are sharply divided over its extreme sexual violence and abuse content.
