Control Z

When a hacker begins releasing students' secrets to the entire high school, the socially isolated but observant Sofía works to uncover his/her identity.

Control Z (2020-2022) is a Mexican teen mystery drama series created by Adriana Pelusi, Miguel García Moreno and Carlos Quintanilla Sakar for Netflix. Its protagonist is the socially isolated but observant student Sofía Herrera (Ana Valeria Becerril), who becomes determined to uncover the identity of an anonymous hacker who begins releasing the private secrets of classmates to the entire high school. Her investigation pulls her into the tangled social world of her school, where bullying, rumor and reputation carry real consequences, and where friendships and loyalties shift with every new revelation. Each season tightens the central mystery while the fallout spreads across the student body, giving the show a serialized, propulsive engine built on confrontation, suspicion and shifting alliances. The series runs three seasons and twenty-four episodes, with a tone that mixes teenage anxiety, sharp social observation and suspense. Set in a contemporary Mexican high school, it carries the escalating intrigue of a whodunit into the pressures of adolescence. Fans of Pretty Little Liars, Gossip Girl and Rebelde will find resonance in its blend of teen drama, secrets and youthful drama.

Audience reception is mixed, with early seasons rated lower than later ones as the hacker mystery and high school drama gained momentum.
