The Cuphead Show!

Follow the misadventures of the impulsive Cuphead and his cautious but persuadable brother Mugman in this animated series based on the hit video game.

Cuphead Show! (2022) is an American animated comedy series created by Dave Wasson for Netflix, adapted from the hit video game Cuphead. Its protagonists are the impulsive Cuphead and his cautious but persuadable brother Mugman, who are pulled into a string of brisk, self-contained misadventures across three seasons of short episodes. Voice cast members Tru Valentino and Frank Todaro play the Bee Cops and the Radio Announcer, and Joe Hanna voices Sal, with the Devil standing out as a scene-stealing comic presence. Each episode thrives on rubber hose slapstick, sharp physical gags, and the push and pull between a reckless older brother and a timid sibling who keeps him honest. Drawing on the game's hand-inked 1930s-inspired look, the show is bright, energetic, and buoyant, with a jaunty score that keeps the mood light. Its shape is simple: a family-friendly, all-ages cartoon that suits kids and adults alike. Fans of Adventure Time, Gravity Falls and Regular Show will find a similar playful, absurdist spirit, though the video game roots give it a distinct identity of its own.

Audiences broadly consider the series a positive, joyful animated comedy with striking hand-drawn animation and memorable characters.
