Don't Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro (2021-2023) is a Japanese animated romantic comedy series produced by Telecom Animation Film, OLM and King Records and broadcast on TOKYO MX and BS11. Based on the manga, it follows Naoto Hachioji, a shy upperclassman voiced by Daiki Yamashita, who is repeatedly cornered in the school library by Hayase Nagatoro, a sharp-tongued junior voiced by Sumire Uesaka. Her pranks, teasing and mock cruelty are the engine of nearly every episode, while Senpai struggles to keep his dignity and hide how much he enjoys her company. Supporting roles from Mikako Komatsu as Maki Gamo and Aina Suzuki as Yoshi widen the school circle and give the storylines room to breathe. Across two seasons of twelve episodes each, the show stays in the shape of a light slice of life comedy, with short self-contained scenes that build a slowly warming relationship. The tone is breezy and cringe-tinged, with comic embarrassment giving way to affectionate warmth. Fans of Teasing Master Takagi-san and Kaguya-sama: Love Is War will find a similar appeal in its playful romantic sparring and its school life setting.

Audiences rate the series as mixed-to-positive, enjoying its playful teasing dynamic between a sadistic junior and her flustered senpai, though the appeal is largely in its comedic chemistry rather than depth.
