We Best Love (2021) is a Taiwanese romance drama series created by Sammi Pan for WeTV. Zhou Shu-yi (YU) has spent his whole life overshadowed by Gao Shi-de (Sam Lin), and when he finally arrives at university hoping for independence, Gao Shi-de turns up again and unsettles both his days and his heart. Pei Shou-yi (Ray Chang) joins the circle of friends and rivals that makes campus life tangled. The engine of the series is the push and pull between a long rivalry and a growing attraction, carried by everyday university moments: class schedules, dormitory life, friendly competitions and small misunderstandings that keep feelings hidden. The story unfolds across a short run of twelve half hour episodes split into two seasons, with the second season widely regarded as the stronger half. The tone is gentle, wistful and sincere, with a bittersweet undercurrent of unrequited love and heartbreak.
