Mouse

A psychopath's ruthless serial murders have left the entire nation gripped by fear and chaos. An honest, justice-seeking rookie police officer and a veteran detective with a tragic past, face off against the killer. After their encounter with the psychopath, their lives change completely.

Mouse (2021) is a South Korean crime thriller series created for the cable network tvN. Lee Seung-gi plays Jung Ba-reum, an honest, justice-seeking rookie police officer, and Lee Hee-jun plays Go Moo-chi, a veteran detective carrying a tragic past. Their paths collide with a ruthless serial killer whose murders have left the entire nation gripped by fear and chaos. Across a single twenty-episode season, the engine is a relentless hunt: the two investigators must chase a psychopath through crime scenes, forensic clues and shifting suspicion, while the encounter itself begins to unravel their own lives and sense of self. Each stretch of the story tightens the pressure, moving between police work, the killer's disturbing presence and the personal wounds the detectives carry. The tone is tense, dark and psychologically intense, with a bleak sense of dread running under the investigation. Its procedural rigor and character-driven pursuit make it a natural fit for viewers who appreciate Korean crime dramas and the cat and mouse energy of series such as Signal and Mindhunter. Fans of morally weighted investigations will find its mix of institutional pressure and psychological unrest rewarding.

Acclaimed by audiences for its tense serial-killer hunt, its two lead detectives, and its gripping, twisty investigation.
