What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Jordan's hero complex drives him to impose an extreme drinking-based solution on Gabrielle after her DUI.
Jordan remains fixated on saving his alcoholic ex despite the personal and ethical costs of his intervention.
The premise makes pushing an alcoholic to drink herself sober the engine of its darkly comic escalation.
The central recovery strategy reverses familiar sobriety logic, using its dangerous contradiction as comic provocation.
