Unicorn Academy

When a dark force threatens to destroy Unicorn Island, a brave teen and her five schoolmates must rise up to protect their beloved magical academy.

Unicorn Academy (2023-2025) is a Canadian animated fantasy series created by Michelle Lamoreaux and Robert Lamoreaux for Netflix. Its protagonist Sophia Mendoza (voiced by Sara Alicia Garcia) leads a group of schoolmates, including Ava Banji (Sadie Laflamme-Snow), Layla Fletcher (Kamaia Fairburn), and Rory Carmichael (Kolton Stewart), who attend a magical academy on Unicorn Island. When a dark force threatens to destroy the school, the friends must rise up and protect the place they love. Each episode is a brisk, self-contained adventure built around lessons in friendship, teamwork, and courage, with lively unicorn characters and bright, playful three-dimensional animation. The series is a family-friendly fantasy with a warm, hopeful, cheerful tone suitable for young children and their parents. Its gentle stakes and colorful magical world will appeal to fans of Winx Club and Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir, who enjoy animated adventures about young heroes and magical friendship. Across four seasons and twenty-one episodes, the show keeps a light, optimistic register throughout, making it an easy pick for family viewing.
