My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic

Journey to the enchanted land of Equestria, where unicorn Twilight Sparkle and her pals have adventures and learn valuable lessons about friendship.

My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic (2010-2019) is an American-Canadian animated fantasy comedy series created by Lauren Faust and broadcast on Hub Network, Treehouse TV and Discovery Family. Unicorn Twilight Sparkle (voiced by Tara Strong) leads a group of pony friends, including Applejack (Ashleigh Ball), Pinkie Pie (Andrea Libman), Rarity (Tabitha St. Germain) and the dragon Spike (Cathy Weseluck), through the enchanted land of Equestria. Each episode builds around a small problem that tests the friends' bond, and the characters learn a gentle lesson about loyalty, honesty and kindness before the closing scene. Princess Celestia (Nicole Oliver) guides the group as a mentor figure. Running nine seasons and 221 episodes, the show mixes standalone episodes with a growing season-long mythology involving magic and royalty. Its tone is bright, sweet and cheerful, with playful humor and warm emotional beats aimed at young viewers. Pastel, colorful animation gives the world a candy-bright look. Viewers who enjoy Adventure Time and Bluey will find similar gentle fantasy comfort here.

Audiences broadly regard the series as a positive, charming animated show whose early seasons are its strongest, with later seasons rated lower.
