Winx Club

In a magical universe, witches, warriors begin fighting in the name of good .vs. evil! At a magic school, five teenage girls are selected to defend the universe with their magic.

Winx Club (2004-2019) is an Italian animated fantasy series created by Iginio Straffi and broadcast on Rai and Nickelodeon. Its heroes are five teenage fairies at a magic school who are chosen to defend a magical universe, led by Bloom (voiced by Letizia Ciampa), with Stella (Perla Liberatori), Flora (Ilaria Latini), Musa (Gemma Donati) and Tecna (Domitilla D'Amico) rounding out the team. Each episode builds around a fresh threat from dark forces, with the young heroines relying on their individual magical powers, their friendship and their loyalty to one another to win. The series runs for eight seasons and 208 episodes, a serialized adventure in which the stakes gradually grow across the parallel worlds of its universe. The tone is upbeat, colorful and sparkly, with a warm focus on girlhood, self confidence and sisterhood. Its magical girl sensibility makes it a natural pick for families and young viewers. Fans of Sailor Moon, Avatar: The Last Airbender and Harry Potter will find resonance in its blend of magic school adventure and friendship driven heroism.

Audiences rate the series mixed, with its middle seasons regarded as the high point and its later seasons faulted for a decline in quality.
