Milky☆Subway: The Galactic Limited Express

Arrested for reckless space driving, super human Chiharu and cyborg Makina are sentenced to clean the Milky☆Subway—an old interplanetary train. Easy enough, right? Wrong. When the train suddenly takes off, they are thrown into a high-speed space-train spectacle packed with chaos, no plans, and zero strategy. Just pure momentum!

Milky☆Subway: The Galactic Limited Express (2025) is a Japanese animated science fiction comedy series created by Yohei Kameyama, presented across YouTube and TOKYO MX as a short-form anime. The series follows super human Chiharu, voiced by Momoka Terasawa, and cyborg Makina, voiced by Anna Nagase, two misfits who are sentenced to clean up an aging interplanetary train called the Milky Subway. Their assignment seems simple enough, but the train unexpectedly takes off and hurls them into a high-speed space spectacle full of disorder and improvised escapades. Principal supporting voices include Mikako Komatsu as Ryoko, Hisako Kanemoto as Akane, and Makoto Koichi as Kanata. The engine of the show is pure momentum: each brisk four-minute episode piles one chaotic situation on another with no plan and no strategy. The single season of twelve episodes is a compact, self-contained romp rather than a long arc. Set in a far-flung cosmos of cyberpunk-flavored space travel, the mood is playful, breezy and absurd, with cute character design undercutting the danger. Fans of Cowboy Bebop, Space Dandy and Galaxy Express 999 will find the same mix of space-age spectacle and irreverent humor.

Limited critical coverage; audiences find it funny and charming with its lively female trio and chaotic space-train energy.
