RWBY Chibi

Join the cast of RWBY in cute comedy shorts with infinite possibilities! It's playing tag! It's baking cookies! It's posing as police officers! It's... really quite absurd. It's RWBY CHIBI!

RWBY Chibi (2016-2021) is a United States web animation comedy series created by Monty Oum for YouTube and Rooster Teeth, a spin-off parody of the RWBY action franchise. Its chibi versions of the main cast, including Ruby Rose (Lindsay Jones), Weiss Schnee (Kara Eberle), Blake Belladonna (Arryn Zech) and Yang Xiao Long (Barbara Dunkelman), are rendered with oversized heads and tiny bodies. Rather than chasing a plot, each episode is a four-minute standalone short in which the characters play tag, bake cookies, or pose as police officers, and the gags get more absurd as the joke lands. Spanning four seasons and seventy-four episodes, the show is a light, episodic sketch series rather than a continuing story, so viewers can jump in at any point. Its tone is playful, breezy and self-aware, deflating the seriousness of its source material into cheerful nonsense. Its bright 3D animation and quick pace suit fans of the parent franchise and of irreverent web animation, and anyone who enjoys short, silly shorts in the vein of Rick and Morty or Gintama will find the same spirit of gleeful parody here.
