Legend of the Three Caballeros

When Donald Duck inherits a cabana from his great-grandfather Clinton Coot in the New Quackmore Institute alongside Brazilian parrot José Carioca and Mexican rooster Panchito Gonzalez, they discover a magical book that when opened releases a goddess named Xandra. The goddess explains that Donald, José, and Panchito are the descendants of a trio of adventurers known as The Three Caballeros, who long ago traveled to stop the evil sorcerer Lord Felldrake from taking over the world and ultimately sealed him in a magical staff. Meanwhile, the staff containing Felldrake is discovered by his descendant Baron Von Sheldgoose, the corrupt President of the New Quackmore Institute. As Sheldgoose sets out to revive Felldrake, the new Three Caballeros must learn to become heroes to save the world from disaster.

Legend of the Three Caballeros (2019) is a US animated fantasy adventure series created for Disney+ that reimagines Donald Duck, José Carioca and Panchito Gonzalez as the descendants of a legendary trio of heroes. Voiced by Tony Anselmo as Donald, Eric Bauza as José and Jaime Camil as Panchito, the three are thrust into action after Donald inherits a cabana in the New Quackmore Institute and a magical book releases the goddess Xandra, voiced by Grey DeLisle. Their engine is simple and vivid: they must learn to become heroes before the corrupt institute president, Baron Von Sheldgoose, voiced by Wayne Knight, succeeds in reviving the sorcerer Felldrake and remaking the world. The thirteen-episode season unfolds as a single brisk, colorful arc built from short episodes of magic, gadgets and comic bickering. Its tone is buoyant and playful, with a warm family sensibility and a light sense of wonder.
