Ahsoka

Former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.

Ahsoka (2023-present) is a Disney+ space opera series created by Dave Filoni, a Lucasfilm spin-off set in the Star Wars galaxy. Rosario Dawson plays former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano, who investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy. Natasha Liu Bordizzo plays rebel fighter Sabine Wren, Mary Elizabeth Winstead plays Hera Syndulla, and Lars Mikkelsen returns as the calculating Grand Admiral Thrawn, while Ray Stevenson and Rory McCann share the role of the menacing Baylan Skoll. Ahsoka works as a single season of sixteen episodes, with each stretch of the story pushing a larger investigation forward through hunts, uneasy alliances and confrontations with old enemies. The tone is adventurous and wistful, with a focus on loyalty, exile and finding one's place after the fall of the old order. Its visual language draws on the franchise's sweeping starships, desert planets and sleek interiors. Fans of The Clone Wars, The Mandalorian and Star Wars Rebels will find resonance in its blend of familiar characters and new adventure.

Audience reception is positive but modest, with viewers appreciating the return to the Star Wars galaxy and its characters while faulting slow pacing and muddled plotting.
