Star Wars: The Clone Wars

Yoda, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, Mace Windu and other Jedi Knights lead the Grand Army of the Republic against the droid army of the Separatists.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008-2020) is an American animated science fiction space opera series created by George Lucas for Cartoon Network, later streamed on Netflix and Disney+. Its ensemble centers on Jedi Knights Yoda, Obi-Wan Kenobi (James Arnold Taylor), Anakin Skywalker (Matt Lanter), and Mace Windu (Terrence 'T.C.' Carson), with Ahsoka Tano (Ashley Eckstein) as a padawan at the heart of many arcs. Voiced by Tom Kane and others, they lead the Grand Army of the Republic against the Separatist droid army across a sprawling galaxy. Each episode is a self-contained battle, rescue, or skirmish, but the seven seasons thread into one continuing wartime saga that tracks the cost of command and the strain on master and apprentice bonds. Set in the galactic clone war era of a far-off star system, the series mixes large-scale space combat with intimate character moments. Its tone is earnest and adventurous, with moments of melancholy and dread as the war grinds on. Fans of Avatar: The Last Airbender, Star Wars Rebels, and Battlestar Galactica will find resonance in its blend of heroic action and serialized conflict. Its episodes run about twenty-three minutes, and the series stands as a long, layered entry in the franchise.

Audiences broadly rate the series as an acclaimed, well-crafted animated extension of the Star Wars saga, with later seasons holding strong ratings.
