Gen Kinokura just wanted to enjoy his peaceful solo camping trips—no distractions, no problems. Enter Shizuku Kusano, a clueless but enthusiastic newbie who crashes his campsite (literally). Now, this bothered outdoorsman is stuck teaching her the ropes. Laughs, mishaps, and heartwarming moments await this duo-camp adventure under the stars!

Solo Camping for Two (2025) is a Japanese animated slice of life comedy adapted from a seinen manga, broadcast on TOKYO MX and running a single 24-episode season. Experienced outdoorsman Gen Kinokura (voiced by Daiki Hamano) prizes his solitary camping trips until clueless but eager newcomer Shizuku Kusano (voiced by Mizuki Niizaki) crashes his campsite, and he is stuck teaching her the basics of setting up, cooking and surviving in the wild. Each episode is built from small outdoor mishaps, simple meals cooked over a fire, and the gradual warming of a reluctant mentor toward his unexpected companion. Supporting voices including Yohei Azakami and Saya Aizawa add a wider circle of friends and fellow campers. The series moves at an unhurried pace, letting scenery, weather and food carry much of the mood. Its tone is gentle, cozy and sincerely heartwarming, with a light undercurrent of romance and a focus on friendship that grows through shared effort. Fans of Laid-Back Camp and Yuru Camp will find the same comforting outdoor atmosphere and everyday charm here, making it an easy, soothing watch for anyone who loves quiet nature and warm company.
