The Life and Times of Juniper Lee

Destined from birth to be this world's Protector, Juniper has to fight monsters to maintain the balance between the world of magic and humanity.

The Life and Times of Juniper Lee (2005-2007) is an American animated fantasy adventure series created by Judd Winick for Cartoon Network. Juniper Lee, voiced by Lara Jill Miller, is a girl destined from birth to become the world's Protector, a role that puts her on the front line between the hidden world of magic and ordinary humanity. Her younger brother Ray Ray Lee, voiced by Kath Soucie, and friends Monroe, voiced by Carlos Alazraqui, and Ophelia Ramirez, voiced by Candi Milo, orbit her daily life as she is pulled into fights against monsters, leprechauns, zombies and other supernatural threats. The engine of each episode is simple: a creature threatens the balance, Juniper must track it down and defeat it, and the family and friendship bonds around her supply much of the humor. Spanning three seasons and forty episodes of roughly twenty-two minutes each, the series is a serialized but accessible cartoon with a sincere, playful register. Its tone is breezy and comforting, with bright action and gentle comedy throughout. Produced by Cartoon Network Studios, it appeals to fans of Avatar: The Last Airbender, Ben 10 and Danny Phantom looking for kid-friendly animated monster adventures.

Audience reception is mixed, with a modest audience rating of 6.5/10 and a first season rated 7.0/10.
