Overview
When 10-year-old Ben Tennyson discovers a mysterious device, he gains the power to change into ten different alien heroes, each with uniquely awesome powers. With such abilities at his disposal, Ben realizes a greater responsibility to help others and stop evildoers, but that doesn't mean he's above a little superpowered mischief now and then.
Ben 10 (2005-2008) is an American animated science fiction action comedy created by Duncan Rouleau, Joe Kelly, Joe Casey and Steven T. Seagle for Cartoon Network. Ten-year-old Ben Tennyson discovers a mysterious alien device, the Omnitrix, that lets him morph into ten different alien heroes, each with its own distinctive powers. Voiced by Tara Strong, Ben joins his cousin Gwen Tennyson (Meagan Moore) and their grandfather Grandpa Max (Paul Eiding) in a series that trades on the thrill of transformation. Ben wants to help others and stop evildoers, but he cannot resist a little superpowered mischief, and each episode builds around a new threat that tests his choices and his control of the powers. Running four seasons and fifty-two episodes of roughly twenty-two minutes each, it is a kids-oriented episodic adventure rather than one continuing story. Fans of Teen Titans, Kim Possible and Danny Phantom will find resonance in its bright, playful register, its boyish bravado and its steady stream of colorful alien action set in an ordinary American town.
