It's Bruno!

An old-school Brooklyn native devotes his days to caring for his adorable dog, Bruno -- and making sure the neighbors show his pooch the proper respect.

It's Bruno! (2019) is a short American comedy series created by Solvan Naim for Netflix. Naim also stars as Malcolm Bartello, an old-school Brooklyn native whose days revolve around caring for his adorable dog Bruno, and who expects every neighbor to give the pooch the respect he thinks it deserves. Supporting players Rob Morgan as Harvey, Shakira Barrera as Lulu, and Donnell Rawlings as Carl orbit his building, turning each small domestic slight into a flashpoint. The engine of the show is simple: Malcolm's earnest, self-serious devotion collides with the indifference and mild absurdity of his neighbors, and each brisk fifteen-minute episode is built from a single escalating misunderstanding over etiquette, dog ownership, and neighborhood pride. The result is one self-contained season of eight episodes, a single-season sitcom with a deadpan, knowingly awkward rhythm and a Brooklyn stoop atmosphere. Its tone is dry, sardonic, and warm, grounded in the city's everyday texture rather than spectacle. Fans of Curb Your Enthusiasm and Louie will find resonance in its awkward social comedy and its portrait of an eccentric urban everyman.

• Dead Dead Demon's Databaseshort-run absurd sitcom built on eccentric urban characters and mild social friction
